flag@whitehouse.gov is an email address that the White House has set up. They’re asking for Americans to report on other Americans who seem to have a different opinion on ObamaCare than our glorious President.
Accordingly – I felt the need to report myself …
Here’s the email …
I’m sorry – but as a good American – I must turn myself in for punishment.
I am guilty of holding a different opinion from the President of the United States. I am guilty of expressing that opinion, both verbally and through emails with my friends. I’m guilty of communicating with Tea Party Associations and I’m guilty of communicating with my representatives in Congress and expressing my opposition to ObamaCare.
In addition: I have made the following assertions to people I meet (both in person and through internet communication …)
1. I have spread the “rumor” that ObamaCare will bankrupt this nation (because it will).
2. I have spread the “rumor” that ObamaCare will cause rationing of healthcare in the United States (because it will).
3. I have stated that Obama’s goal is to enact a “single payer” healthcare system in the United States (because I’ve seen video of him advocating just that).
4. I have stated that Obama is a Socialist (because only a Socialist would take over the car companies and hand them to labor unions – of course, that’s just one tidbit of evidence in the growing pile of evidence that Obama is a Socialist).
… I think you get the point.
So … I am guilty. Send the Stormtroopers for me. I probably should be locked away as a political prisoner in a Gulag for Americans who are guilty of Conservative thought. Here’s an idea – once you’ve released all the terrorists … maybe you can put us all in GITMO?
I will willingly provide witnesses to all of my thought and free speech crimes.
Another reason I’m turning myself in – is because I can’t stop myself from expressing my opinion to others. Silly me – I thought there was a First Amendment – I’ve even seen copies of the Constitution saying that I have a right to oppose anyone that I wish. That I have the right to speak my mind and hold political views that are contrary to my elected leaders. I thought, hell – if it was okay for Obama to sit on a board with a convicted terrorist – then it must be alright for me to associate with law abiding Tea Party folk – but apparently I was mistaken.
I’m not a violent person – nor one that wishes ill on others – but I am guilty of thinking different thoughts from our President.
I guess I should be locked up.

It’s 2009 and we have to stand up and yell, “I am Spartacus!” 1936 Germany called, they want the Democrats to return their script.
We must all do more. These plot lines have a 100 year history of unhappy endings.

Apart from that, after following the news in the US media for a while, I realized that we in Europe never had as much freedom as you in the US still have. Keep it! The larger and more comprehensive the power of the state, the larger and more comprehensive are corruption and interference in all aspects of life. I would also like to add, that I believe that the US has been and still is the land of the free because your countrymen used to uphold Judeo-Christian values. Personally, I believe that the Bible-belt (despite all Elmer Gantry stuff) has been a greater blessing and protection for the US than anyone can imagine.
