In these days of “bad polls” for Obama … Matt Damon weighs in … slamming (surprise!) Sarah Palin …

Matt … the only one being absurd here is YOU … because this election is between John McCain and Barack Obama – it’ll either be McCain or Obama “facing down” Vladimir Putin – and we’ve already seen recently just how YOUR MAN WILL BACK DOWN to Putin. Obama blamed the Georgians EQUALLY for the crisis … it wasn’t until three days later that the Obama campaign finally “adopted” essentially the same position on the crisis that McCain advocated immediately when the shooting started.
Again … McCain is the top of the ticket … he’s not going to die Matt. The only President that has died in office during my 46 year lifetime was John Kennedy … and he was THE YOUNGEST elected during my life.
Now … you want absurd? I give you Barack Obama.
A community organizer who played “racial politics” to get ahead in the Chicago political machine. Then he became a state legislator – and became famous for voting “present”. He’s been a U.S. Senator for what? 200 working days? He has never taken his party on … on anything of substance … not once. He is the the most liberal member of the Senate – and hasn’t reached across the isle once. This is not a “change agent” Matt … if you really want to talk about who stole that theme – well, he stole it from McCain … who’s been trying to “change” Washington for years (many times – in ways I, as a Conservative, don’t agree with). McCain will reach out … to anyone. Your guy talks about “unifying” America – laughable … he’s disguising himself now so that he can force his liberal tax and spend income re-distribution Socialist policies down the throats of hard working (bitter / clinging) Americans.
Your candidate … and your party, attempted to secure DEFEAT for this country in the war on terror. To this day … victory over Al Qaida and securing the freedom of 25 million Iraqis remains an idea that is repugnant to your party. That’s what’s absurd Matt. Your current candidate was elected for one reason … he leftist enough to get the support of MoveOn.org and Michael Moore … and Hillary wasn’t leftist enough for them. That’s scary Matt – because Hillary is pretty far left.
