All Politics … All the Time … Is a bit boring. And besides … it’s looking more and more like McCain will win … not because of his recent surge in the polls … but because it appears to me he has “flushed” the Democrats from their hiding holes and now everyone can see them for the crazy and out-of-touch leftists they are. ZerObama called Sarah Palin a pig tonight … so yeah … I think the reactor has gone beyond the point of “adding heat” and … it’s now “self-sustaining” (I was stationed on a nuclear submarine!). This means the Dems will only get worse – and I’m thinking it’s going to be a long crawl to the election for Camp ZerObama.
So … I would like to indulge a bit and wax some praise on to what I think is the most revolutionary motorcycle ever produced … well at least up to 1984 anyways.
It’s the Honda Magna V65 …
65 cubic inches, V4, Six Speed, Shaft Driven … 116 Horses at the rear wheel.
MADE IN JAPAN! I used to be all into American made products … now I’m a free trade guy and buy the best value for my money. And besides … Unions have destroyed the auto manufacturing industry in the United States anyway. If you look in the picture … you’ll see my other “vehicle” is a Honda too … a Ridgeline … which I think may have been made in Canada!
But let me tell you something – the V65 Magna will KILL YOUR ASS IN A HEARTBEAT if you start thinking that YOU are smarter than the bike! It’s a bike that DEMANDS RESPECT. Treat her right … and you will never stop grinning each time you roll that throttle.
This bike is 24 years old – and it takes one helluva lot of attention to keep it in top shape and running like a SCALDED DAWG. But it really hauls the mail sportsfans. Since I purchased it … I’ve upgraded the tires to AVON Radials … Upgraded the rear shocks to Progressive 412’s … Upgraded the electrical system to a blade master fuse and I’ve switched to Mobil 1 4T racing oil in the engine. I lined the gas tank with POR-15 tank liner (the old tanks rust) and I’ve cleaned the auxiliary tank (which was by far the hardest thing I’ve done on this bike). This weekend … I have to rebuild the starter clutch. But damn … it’s worth it.
Oh … I also own a Harley … yeah it’s cool too but … it’s not a V65 
Isn’t AMERICA a great place? Hot damn but … how will I run these beautiful machines if ZerObama is elected to the White House? I can’t fit solar panels on either of these motorcycles. Do you think I can run a V4 engine on Natural Gas? Nope! Maybe I should buy an electric bike? Uhm … let’s get serious here.
Very nice to talk about eliminating oil … quite another thing to imagine life without it. Hopefully McCain and Palin will get into office so we can start DRILLING again!
